Webster Technique

The Webster technique was developed by Dr Larry Webster (chiropractor) over 30 years ago. It is a specific chiropractic analysis and gentle adjustment of the sacrum. As with all chiropractic adjustments, our intent is to improve the nervous system so the body can function better. As with all sacral adjustments, pelvic balance is improved. A balanced pelvis reduces undue tension in the attached muscles and ligaments. In pregnant women, sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labour for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation (an inability for the baby to get into the best possible position for birth). Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia. Although most frequently used with pregnant women, this analysis and adjustment can be used on any one. Rachel, Travis and Sarah are all certified Webster practitioners.
